Most patients who need a breast reduction and a tummy tuck prefer to have both procedures done in a single stage.  In recent years however, it has been recognized that the risk of serious complications increases when doing large breast procedures in conjunction with a tummy tuck.  These matters need to be approached on a case by case basis, taking into consideration the anticipated length of each procedure, the patient’s health, and the medications they are taking.
