Dr. Teitelbaum has always had a love for ear surgery since he began his training. He had terrific education in otoplasty as a plastic surgical resident after rotating through hospitals in which he performed a large number of them. He has totally reconstructed ears in children who were born without them, a condition called microtia. He has sculpted the ears out of rib cartilage and has also created ears with manmade materials.

To successfully make an ear from scratch requires understanding the smallest details and nuances of every part of the ear. Dr. Teitelbaum brings that knowledge to every otoplasty case he does, whether in a child or an adult.

He has made several medical missions to Nepal to do cleft lip surgery on children, and even adults who had gone through much of their lives without having their lip repaired. Many of these people also had prominent ears, and Dr. Teitelbaum took great pleasure in delighting them even further by also addressing their ears. Years and hundreds of ears later, Dr. Teitelbaum maintains his passion and expertise at otoplasty.
