Does the idea of a virtually pain-free breast augmentation seem too good to be true?
As remarkable as it sounds, recent developments have allowed over 90 percent of our breast augmentation patients to return to normal activities within 24 hours, without the need for narcotics, bed rest, or special bandages or bras. Bruising is minimal or nonexistent, and pain is controlled with ordinary Advil. In fact, Dr. Teitelbaum's patients routinely go out to dinner the night of surgery, drive the next day, and need no more than a few days off work.
This is no exaggeration-and it's also no accident. Your easy recovery will be the result of Dr. Teitelbaum's commitment to meticulous preoperative planning, state-of-the-art anesthesia procedures, and the surgeon's detailed understanding of finer points of anatomy, which allows each operation to proceed smoothly and with a minimum of trauma. His state-of-the-art surgery suite also offers the latest advances in anesthesia protocols, which significantly minimizes postoperative nausea.
Because of rough or imprecise technique, some surgeons tightly bandage patients or make them wear a special bra in the hopes of forcing the implant into a particular position or to act as a tourniquet to prevent bleeding. Dr. Teitelbaum's precise and gentle surgical technique, conversely, allows his patients to move their arms in the recovery room right after surgery-and the result is less pain, a shorter recovery, and a lower chance of hardening of the breasts.
There's a reason why Dr. Teitelbaum has been asked to teach other doctors how to achieve this kind of pain-free recovery at the largest annual plastic surgery meeting in the world. He's made a believer out of hundreds of patients as well as many surgeons; feel free to ask as many questions as you like about how he can do the same for you.
The result is less pain, a shortened recovery, and a lower chance of hardening of your breasts.

I went shopping the day that I got my breast augmentation surgery. I went out to lunch straight from the office operating room, and then I went shopping. I took a (pain medication) one time (that day), and one time the next morning, and that is it.
So I got a breast augmentation from Dr. Teitelbaum, and it was the easiest, most painless procedure. I went out that very night with friends, and it was like getting my hair cut. There was basically no recovery time whatsoever, and I love the results. They are fabulous. I have no complaints, and I would recommend it to anybody.
So my third day out of surgery, I am back to work fitting suits. I am a tailor. I am pinning; I am measuring. Yesterday I could brush my hair. Today I can do anything and everything. I do not even feel like I had anything done.
Hi. I just had my surgery yesterday, and it took about 45 minutes. When I woke up, I was barely sore at all…. Yeah, I went on a walk like immediately after. I was barely in any pain and slept really well. I was talking on the phone to my friends, and they were all shocked that I even had surgery that day, because I was having no pain, it was amazing. The pain was barely anything, and today – I was opening doors for myself yesterday, as well, it’s amazing how comfortable I am. And today I am even better. I am only on ibuprofen. It is barely any pain at all. I am shocked.
I had surgery with Dr. Teitelbaum and after a couple of hours I went home and took pictures of myself! I actually sent the pictures to my friends and family, and they were in shock. I could not believe that I was not in pain. We went out for a while then I had a nap. I went out for dinner, and I felt fine, and I would highly recommend Dr. Teitelbaum to anybody. On a scale of 1-10, it was a zero!...there was no pain. It was just kind of a new discomfort. And the only feeling of restriction I had was literally like an elephant sitting on my chest, and today the swelling is probably the most tender, but I would not say that it is pain. It would just be tender.
Hi, I had my boob job yesterday. I went home about eight something, took my pills, went to Whole Foods, Pink Berry, went home, talked on the phone, went out to dinner, got up today totally fine. I did my exercises, and it did not hurt at all and there was no stiffness. See? (patient lifted her arms over her head)
I'm about 12 weeks post breast augmentation and I am so pleased with EVERYTHING! Not just the beautiful results but also the process, surgery time, and most of all -recovery time! The night after surgery, I went out to dinner with my husband and son. I drove myself to your office for my next day follow-up, ok that was not advised but I was feeling great! On week 2 my son, a 40lb 2.5 year-old, could sit on my lap and lean back as he normally would while I read to him. I was certain that you would have me looking exactly the way I envisioned but I honestly did not believe the recovery would be this fast. You did an amazing job. You "nailed" the size I wanted and I've never felt better.
I will see you for a follow up soon and I hope you enjoy your week! Thank you for everything!
After my surgery, I was able to travel the next day with minimal help. It was virtually painless and almost entirely effortless. I went on vacation and really needed very little help. It is perfect. No pain killers.
I just had breast augmentation and areola reduction with Dr. Teitelbaum yesterday and I feel really good today. I am doing my exercises. He’s wonderful. He’s a class act doctor who is really professional, and he knows what he is doing. I would refer any of my friends to him …. I feel energetic. I am not taking much pain medication. I just feel like my breasts are engorged, but I feel really good. Feel great. I would recommend this to anybody who is thinking about it. I am 42 years old, and I wanted this since I was in high school. So here I am. I feel really good, thanks for everything.
I had a breast augmentation done yesterday. I left the surgery center about 1:30. The car ride home was fine. I did not feel that much discomfort. I got home and laid up in bed. I had full range of motion from the second that I got home. I did not feel (pain)– it was tight, but I did not feel restricted. I was always able to put my hands out and over my head and do the little jumping jacks and stuff like that. I guess the worse part for me was having a cotton mouth, and I think that was from the antibiotic and stuff. I slept. I do not feel like I could have slept on my chest, because part of the paperwork was you could sleep on your chest. I felt that was uncomfortable, but I was fine sleeping on my side with my hand behind my head and stuff….I slept fine. I napped yesterday, and then I probably slept from 11:30 to about 7:30 this morning. It is a little bit more sore and tender (today), but I still continue my range of motion. I was able to take a shower, wash my own hair, get dressed, lift my hands over my head and stuff, and driving here to the appointment was alright. It was not uncomfortable to be in the car at all. I blew dry my hair this morning and have only taken Ibuprofen since returning home from the surgery. I just feel great. Honestly, my neighbor had (an augmentation)… and she called me, she was shocked that I did not have any pain. (She said) it was like night and day (from hers)… So, I took a shower last night and we actually went for ice cream with the kids and stuff. I do not feel like I am in any pain at all. My husband is an Allergan rep, and he thinks very highly of Dr. Teitelbaum, and he says that he actually thinks Dr. Teitelbaum has mastered it with the way the surgery is performed- less manipulation and stuff, that patients really have less discomfort.
