Not only is this story overblown, it is simply not true.  So why is the story out there?  First, there is no industry to make money on a facelift like there is when selling a filler.  Many publicly traded companies have a pecuniary interest as well as the ability to get such stories into the press.  But with no product per se used with a facelift, there is no one to promote the facelift stories in the press.  And with many non-surgeons now dabbling with injecting fillers, newsrooms are overwhelmed with stories about injectables from doctors unable to perform surgery.

Sorry to break it to the filler people, but we’re doing more surgery than ever, even in this economy!  And for all those duck-lipped women you see out there –remember to blame the squirters and not the surgeons!

And aside from that, just look at the results you can get with facial surgery.  No filler can possibly do that…
